Welcome to Heart Filled Tech! This is my first blog post. Let me tell you a little about how it all started:
The name Heart Filled Tech is no accident. I chose this name because when I created it, my heart did not feel very full at all. I felt empty. Empty because of a device. I think that if anything like this ever happens, then something has gone horribly wrong and a change needs to be made immediately. With Heart Filled Tech, I wanted to create something that would lift people up, lift me up. It’s doing just that right now.
Technology should be used to empower ourselves rather than break ourselves down.
I feel empowered by technology when… :
- I get an immediate solution to a pressing problem with a single Google search
- I get free access to information I otherwise wouldn’t have had access to because the internet has democratized knowledge
- It enables me to complete a 5 hour task in 5 minutes
However, I feel broken down by technology when it makes me feel out of control of my actions, thoughts, and/or emotions.
If the latter describes how you feel now, just know that there truly is a feasible path to the other side of the valley. The mission of this blog is to get you there as quickly as possible. In order to do it, we’ve got to change our mindset and habits. We’ve got to take action.
The journey will be difficult. You’re going to make a lot of mistakes. You’re going to feel uncomfortable. You’re going to want to give up. But over time, everything will begin to work out in your favour. The ball will be rolling so damn fast, that you’ll be practically unstoppable. I think these quotes express this sentiment best:
A winner is just a loser who tried one more time.
– George M. Moore Jr.
Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying ‘I will try again tomorrow.‘
– Mary Anne Radmacher
Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.
– Henry Ford
Keep these ideas in mind while you carry out my methodologies and you will surely succeed… and then some…
